History

ProChem GmbH was founded in December 1998 as a service provider for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in the city of Lorsch, located in the Southern part of the Federal State of Hesse (Germany).

At first, the focus was on on-demand drying and mixing of our clients’ products. What started with a drying plant, a mixing plant and 5 employees in Lorsch, soon developed to such an extent that we had to move the company headquarters. While looking for a new location, the town of Oberthal in the Federal State of Saarland provided a number of advantages so that we could start production there in March 2002. One and a half yearslater, the company was awarded its ISO 9001 certification.
During the following years, we answered the continually rising demand of our clients by making considerable investments, and we considerably expanded our production capacities.

In order to be even closer to our customers and to be able to react to customer demands even faster, we built a subsidiary location in Lorsch, right next to the Autobahn A67, in early 2007. It is our aim to be able – now and in the future – to fulfill the needs and demands of our clients in a flexible, fast and reliable manner.
